You are invited to a deeper study of evolution.  Philosophy is the science of all things accordint to their ultimate causes, according to the use of human reason.  Evolution is a theory that new species arise from variability in previous species.  The theory was proposed by Charles Darwin, and since modified in various ways by his followers.  Neo-Scholastic philosophers, followers of Aristotle and Aquinas, have meditated, written and debated this theory for at least a century.  The developments in their thought, and the reasons they have given for their positions, are all enlightening.
